• POING with Maja Ratkje (voc) performs an extended Weill/Brecht show, also including other composers' music to Brecht lyrics as well as labour songs from different traditions sung in different languages.
Maja S.K. Ratkje:
Ratkje's music has been heard in more than 30 countries and she was the first Norwegian composer to receive the Arne Nordheim Prize
in 2001. In 2003 she got a Distinction Award at the Prix Ars Electronica for
the album 'Voice' together with the co-producers in Jazzkammer. In 2004 Maja's first opera "No Title Performance
and Sparkling Water" (with SPUNK + POING among others) was premiered
at the Ultima festival in Oslo.
