20: Concertgebouw Brugge, Belgium: POING featuring Maja Ratkje "Wach auf!" The accordeon, sax, bass and modern-day Lotte Lenya effortlessly lead us back to a Berlin café in the 1930s. Indeed, this time POING also aims to be more than just like the radicals, to make topical political elements of the revolutionary collaboration between Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill. The repertoire of Brecht and Weill is supplemented with thematically connected music by Hans Eisler, Einstürzende Neubauten and Bob Dylan.

This year's all-star team includes a string quartet (Sigyn Fossnes, Elisabeth Lie, Ada Meinich and Kristine Martens), Kjersti Beate Vindal on the harp, Grünerløkka celebrity Jan Vardøen, pop singer Simone Larsen, rock singer Kjetil Laumann, actor Guri Glans will be the spanked nun, singer Maja Ratkje, our favourite Norwegian-Mauretanian-Senegalese singer Becaye Aw with his daughter Leni, Chinese singer/song-writer Xiaogan, the world fastest guitar player Marcus Paus, banjo heroess and folk singer Kari Svendsen, Norwegian/Indian violinist Harpreet Bansal, Laffen (mandolin, fiddle) and Ingemund (banjo, harmonica) and Gaute (guitar, vocals) and Anne Lise and Helga (background vocals) - all from BMB, Jolo el Grantre aka.
